Sterling Silver 1919 Necklace

Handmade from the handle of a sterling silver spoon hallmarked 1919 Sheffield, made by John Round & Sons, it has already lived more than a century of life before finding its way to my workbench. The original engraved initials are still there, softly worn by time. I can't quite make them out, and honestly, I love that as it leaves a little mystery behind.

Who were they? Was it a gift? A wedding present? A treasured possession passed through generations?

We'll never know for certain, but that story now becomes part of the charm.

Rather than letting this beautiful old handle sit forgotten in a drawer, it has been given a new chapter as a wearable keepsake, this  kind of piece that feels less like jewellery and more like a small piece of history you get to wear.
