This stunning necklace has been created from an original Hildesheimer Rose silver piece, made from .835 German silver by renowned silversmith Christoph Widmann in the 1920s a time celebrated for romance, symbolism, and extraordinary silver craftsmanship.
The Hildesheimer Rose is more than just a beautiful floral design. It’s rooted in legend. A wild rose bush once grew beside the cathedral in Hildesheim, Germany said to symbolise endurance, protection, and eternal life. When the cathedral was destroyed, the rose survived. And when it was rebuilt, the rose bloomed again. That powerful story lives on in silver and now, in this necklace.
The rose detail is beautifully intricate, with layered petals and rich depth. Carefully shaped, the silver retains its original character gentle marks of age included adding warmth, authenticity, and soul.
