Heirloom necklace has been created using an authentic 1966 Australian round 50 cent coin, the first and only round 50c coin ever released. Minted for just one year and made from 80% silver, it was soon withdrawn from circulation, making surviving coins rare and highly collectible.
The coin is set in a sterling silver bezel, allowing both sides of the coin to be seen, with the Australian Coat of Arms on one side and Queen Elizabeth II’s first portrait on the other.
It hangs on a 75cm stainless steel snake chain, perfect for layering or statement wear.
A true piece of Australian heritage, preserved as wearable history.
